The continuous multi span concrete bridge Gimsøystraumen bridge in northern Norway was built in 1981. It has a total length of 840 meters and the longest span is 148 meters. Located in a coastal climate the bridge is subjected to exposure of wind and sea water. The main components are abutments, pillars, a box beam and bridge deck, all made of reinforced concrete C35-C40.
